Thanksgiving Break and an update

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday with my family. Josh and Stephanie were able to fly out from Florida and it was great to have them around and for them to get to know Chloe a little better. We ate delicious food and went to an amazing Football game. The BYU vs. UTAH game was the best game of the season and the most exciting game I have ever been too. I was jumping up and down and doing my best not to yell since we had a concert the next week. During the break we also took Family Pictures. We all wore BYU colors and we took the pictures in front of the Karl G Maeser Building on campus. The pictures turned out great. Below are some of the best. Right now we have about 6 inches of snow on the ground and the semester is starting to wrap up. I'm relieved to have this semester almost over. It's been difficult as I've been learning to balance all of my responsibilites. But I'm very grateful that I have the opportunity to finish my Bachelors Degree.

7 months old! - Photoshoot

Below are some of our favorites from Chloe's 7 month photoshoot. When we first got started Chloe was scared and the picture below is what we got.... So sad! But SOOO cute!!
This is one of my favorites. She has such beautiful eyes!By the end we finally got her to be happy and give little half smiles. Overall it was a good photoshoot and she is just a cute cute baby!
Chloe is so active right now. She can crawl pretty quickly and she climbs and stands everywhere. Shelves, piano, chairs, doors, walls - you name it! This also means that she gets owies daily. Most of them involving her head and face. Chloe's personality is also really starting to show. She loves to talk and play and she loves her Grandma and Grandpa Grooms and her Aunts and Uncles. However, she is also very shy. If she finds herself in a place that she is unfamiliar with or around people that she doesn't know she gets really quiet and will often pull a face (like the one in the first picture) and cry. Give her awhile though and she will really warm up to her surroundings. Chloe also loves her blankies, music, playing the piano, eating controllers and cords, and playing face to face with people that she loves. She also just started balancing on her knees. We sure love our little 7 month old baby girl and are very grateful for her sweet spirit in our lives.

The King's Singers

On October 28th I had the amazing opportunity to sing with The Kings Singers. We had one 50 minute rehearsal with them that day (which was not perfect by any means..) and we performed that night. The 6 singers were so humble and friendly to all of us. It was such a cool experience. That evening before the concert I was running a little late and totally slipped/tripped and fell in the busy parking lot by the HFAC. All of my stuff, including my shoes, went flying in different directions. It was embarassing and it hurt pretty bad. Looking back, it's kind of funny, but it was a little traumatizing at the time. Anyways, despite my mishap the concert was just flawless. It was a very powerful and spiritual experience for all of us in Singers. I am so grateful that I had this opportunity. Not many people in the world get to sing with a group as magnificent as The King's Singers.

Cute baby!

Here are some recent pictures of our Cute little bug.

Chloe LOVES climbing up things and standing up like a big girl. These two pics are her doing just that! This is right after she hit her head really hard. It was a little traumatizing. But the mark on her head is almost gone. We sure love our little girl! She is growing SO fast!

Star Wars: In Concert

On Friday October 16 we used our free tickets to see Star Wars: In Concert. It was amazing! Chloe attended with us and was an absolute angel. There was so much to look at! (If you look closely, we couldn't get her too look at the camera once!) Here are some pictures of the exciting event for your viewing enjoyment!

Star Wars here we come!

So excited right now. I won tickets to Star Wars: In Concert! I called in to the radio station this morning after dropping Curtis off at work and was caller number 11! We really wanted to go but couldn't possibly afford it since the cheapest ticket price was $35 a person. So now we get to go and don't have to pay a dime!
Anyways, it's cool and we'll be going this next friday. SWEET!

6 months old!

Our sweet little girl is now 6 months old. I can't believe how fast the time has gone by! She had her doctor's appointment yesterday and he was very impressed with her. She is very advanced for her age in development and very healthy. It was so good to hear! She is in the 78% centile for weight at 17 pounds and 7 ounces, the 61% centile in height at 26 inches, and the 60% centile for head circumference. She is teething pretty bad now so she should have her teeth by the end of the month! She also likes to army crawl around the house and get into EVERYTHING!

Things are going pretty well for us here. School is good. I took my first test in Statistics and did really well so I'm happy about that. Singers is wonderful, but a lot of work. I occasionally find my self overwhelmed with trying to balance all the things that I have to do. But slowly i'm getting used to it and I am finding ways to accomplish all that needs to be done. We still have absolutely no leads on a better paying job either here or somewhere else and are getting concerned about our financial well-being, but we know that the Lord is aware of our needs and that he is watching over us. Prayers on our behalf concerning a job would be greatly appreciated.

5 Months old!

Chloe is now 5 months old! It is amazing how fast time flies! She is now an expert roller and rolls around everywhere. This morning she even got into my books, which means it's time to baby proof the house!
I have finally figured out how to get her to smile for the camera! So cute!

She has just started to learn to sit up by herself. By the end of the month she will be sitting up like a pro!

We've let Chloe try a couple of things. This is her first experience with a pickle, and she loved it!

She was not so sure about her first encounter with the rice cereal. However she is beginning to warm up to it!
Chloe is such a doll. And her personality is really starting to come out! We sure love her!

We celebrated our 3rd Anniversary by spending a week at home together and doing a variety of different activities together. It's hard to believe that we have been married for 3 years already! I love our life together. We are so blessed! I Love Curtis so much and I am very grateful for him. Can't wait for the rest of eternity with my sweetheart!

4 Months old!

Chloe turned 4 months old yesterday! She is getting so big!
We tried to take some pictures but every time she sees the camera she refuses to smile! Even when we would try and hide the camera from her she somehow seemed to find it. Such a silly girl!
We got her to smile here but then her hands were in the way!

We finally got a smile from one of our "sneak attacks" with the camera.

Chloe is such a happy, beautiful girl. She is very smiley, talkative, and loud! She loves her mommy and daddy and her binky. Chloe hates bathes, her carseat, the heat, and being in crowds. We sure love her and we love watching her grow big and strong!

Reunion, Yellowstone and The Grand Tetons

Here are some pictures highlighting our trip to Idaho/ Wyoming during the 4th of July weekend. We spent time with family, ate yummy food, Curtis ran a 5k, saw the Rexburg temple, went to Yellowstone, and hiked in the Tetons. It was a fun trip!
