Princess at 17 months

Princess is 17 1/2 months old now. Where does the time go? I can't believe it! I want her to stay a baby forever, but it is also so exciting to see her grow and learn new things every day.

Some of her recent antics:
-Princess loves cds. She likes getting them out of DVD cases or cd cases and then stacking them and trying to put them back into the cases. She thinks it's hilarious. Daddy does not.
-Princess has this new thing where she opens her mouth really wide and then wants me to copy her. It is hilarious! If I can get it on camera I will be sure to post it.
-Princess is an expert stair climber. Up and down! We tell her to "scoot scoot" and she slides down the stairs on her tummy.
-She is very good at following her routine. She knows all the bed time stuff. It is very cute
-She is an excellent helper (most of the time ha) she knows where the diapers go to get thrown away, she knows how to turn off the entertainment center equipment, and she helps mommy put laundry in the dryer.
-Princess loves looking at pictures on the computer
-She LOVES reading stories and LOVE LOOOVVVEESSSS Milk!
-She is very stubborn, independent, and kind of a drama queen
-She loves going outside and throws a major tantrum when we have to go inside
-She loves bath-time. Mostly because she gets to splash and play with fun toys! However she hates getting washed in the bath!
-She refuses to cooperate for pictures! It is so frustrating!
-Princess Loves playing with other kids. She likes giving them hugs and sharing toys and trying to make new friends. It is SOOOO cute! I just wish the other kids would respond better....mostly they get freaked out or run away......I think she is just to advanced for her age, and the other little ones don't get it yet
-Sweet girl loves her pink teddy bear and a very specific pink blanket.
-She is a big copy cat. She will copy everything that I do. Singing, making sounds, eating(or at least pretending to eat) and she even plays "follow the leader" with actions and everything!

-The biggest change so far for our little girl is that she is 100% TODDLER! No more baby! She throws glorious tantrums and insists on doing it her way. *Sigh* It's a good thing she is SO cute!
We love her so much. She is the sunshine in our lives, and I am grateful everyday that Heavenly Father saw fit to allow me to be her mother.

Utah Goodbyes

Princess had a lot of fun her last few days in Utah. She played, and played, and played! Below are pictures of her with her Grandpa, Grandma, and aunts and uncles. Thanks again for all of the help with the move! We love you! (p.s. Pictures and updates from and about Ohio are coming soon!)

Anniversary and new Family Pictures

My sister B took some last minute family pictures for us before we move away! She did a great job and we got some really cute ones. Thanks sis!

We had a wonderful anniversary this last week. We went out to eat at Tucanos with C's parents. (Thanks again! It was delicous!) We stayed the night in Midway (Princess, stayed with Grandma and Grandpa and had loads of fun!) and then we went to SLC to do a Temple Sealing Session. Afterwards we took some pictures and then we ate at the Lionhouse. It was a really wonderful, and much needed 24 hour vacation.

Saying goodbye....

So we are approximately 6 days away from starting our new adventure in Ohio. We're experiencing a lot of mixed feelings, mostly excitement, about what lies ahead. We have also started saying goodbye! We got to go up to Layton for a get together with S's and Grandma and Grandpa G. It was a really nice day and we are REALLY going to miss S's!! They've been near by us for 4+ years. We love you guys. Thanks for EVERYTHING!

After our get together in Layton we had a short, but large get together with extended family and took some large and small family pictures. And of course we said more goodbyes.

It was a really nice Sunday and we're very grateful for family! We'll miss you!

A New Beginning...

I'm excited to make this blog come alive. I've neglected it for quite some time. However, since we are shutting down facebook and moving across the country I felt like this would be the perfect way to share our adventures!
Lots of updates coming your way! So don't be a stranger. ^_^

BYU Graduation 2010

I had a really nice graduation. The whole family was there and everyone was really supportive. I'm very grateful for my undergraduate experience and for the many opportunities that I have had the past 3 years. Now we're on to bigger things! But I will always take what I have learned from BYU wherever I go!

Could not have done it without my parents. They watched Princess almost everyday which allowed me to go to my classes. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

Our wonderful little familyThe best, most supportive, amazing husband in the world. So SO grateful for him! Love you sweetheart!

Thumbs up to graduating!

Pirates of Penzance

We had a really great time performing in "Pirates of Penzance". We peformed at 2 venues, the Castle Amphitheater in Provo, and the American Fork Amphitheater across the street from the Timpanogos Temple. The last three show at AF were especially interesting. We got rained out the second night completely, and we recieved a major down pour of rain on closing night right after the first song of actII. We kept going until the power blew out. The picture below is what Curtis looked like after his songs with the Pirate King and Ruth:
This picture below is before it started raining....Good thing I did it when I did!
