Recital

I held my first recital on June 6, 2011 for my four amazing voice students. I had been planning and stressing about the recital for weeks. I am so proud of how well they all did. They each made so much progress over the 1-5 months that they had lessons with me. And I had such a good experience. I love teaching voice lessons.
(Pictured are Curtis-behind piano; Meagan, Katherine, Me, Becca, and Kristin)
Curtis was so sweet, he accompanied all SEVEN songs! I am so grateful that I married such a talented man.
The recital went very smoothly, which was a huge relief!! Can't wait for the summer to be over so I can start lessons with all these ladies again!

FIVE

5 years ago Curtis asked me if I would be his wife. FIVE YEARS!! It seems like it was just yesterday, but it also feels like it happened ages ago.

I love him so much. Saying yes, was the best decision I have ever made. Can't wait for for another 5 years to go by! I LOVE YOU BABY!

First Haircut

Princess got her very first haircut last week! It was really more of a small trim but it was exciting nonethless.
She sat in my lap the whole time, and other then the occasional wiggles and turning of the head, she did so great!

Sometimes I can't believe how big my little girl is getting. Where or where does the time go?!

Fun in the Sun

We finally had one day of complete sunshine. Seriously, the last month has rained 90% of the time. Rain makes for lots and LOTS of green and luscious forests, but it gets in the way of outside play time!
So we spent a good hour at the park on Saturday enjoying the sunshine and playing with Daddy's soccer ball and frisbee.
Princess had SO much fun. She was in absolute toddler heaven.
Princess loved throwing the ball to daddy and havin him kick it around with his sweet soccer moves.
 Princess has a good arm!
Family picture by mommy's request. Aren't we cute?

Crossing our fingers that we get some sun this Memorial Day weekend, we have lots of fun plans!

We are doing very well for those of you who may be wondering. Curtis is enjoying his job. I love teaching voice lessons, and keeping myself busy with projects. And Princess is learning and growing SO FAST!

Easter

We had a fun Easter this year! Princess got to do two easter egg hunts, and we were invited over to the home of a family in the ward for dinner.

Easter baskets

Princess going through her easter basket. She got some movies, candy, markers, coloring pencils, sunglasses, and a hat.

Posing for the camera after a successful easter egg hunt!

Wearing her new hat and sunglasses

Posing in her Easter dress. Isn't she a cutie?

29

Curtis celebrated his 29th birthday yesterday. We went to Olive Garden (without Princess. Which was Glorious!), opened presents,  and ate delicious cake to celebrate the occasion. It was so fun to be together all day long. Curtis finally got the complete soundtracks to The Lord of the Rings movies, and he is going to see John Williams live in concert in Pittsburgh in June. It will be so fun for him to see his musical idol.

I love you Curtis, Happy Birthday!

He Lives

On this beautiful Easter Sunday I want to bear my testimony to all of you that I KNOW that my Redeemer lives! Our Savior, Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of our Heavenly Father gave His life; His perfect life, so that we could all return to live with Him. He died on the cross and was resurrected after three days as a perfect celestial being. He gave us the Atonement. A way for us to repent and be forgiven of our sins. How glorious it is to know of Him. How glorious it is to have the Gospel of Jesus Christ restored on the earth! We are so blessed to live in this time and to know what we know.
I am so grateful for a loving Savior who knows and loves each one of us individually. So much so that He willingly chose to make the ultimate sacrifice. He lives! All glory to His name! He lives my Savior still the same! I know, with all my heart and soul that my Redeemer lives.
I know that my Redeemer lives.
What comfort this sweet sentence gives!
He lives, he lives, who once was dead.
He lives, my ever-living Head.
He lives to bless me with his love.
He lives to plead for me above.
He lives my hungry soul to feed.
He lives to bless in time of need.
He lives to grant me rich supply.
He lives to guide me with his eye.
He lives to comfort me when faint.
He lives to hear my soul’s complaint.
He lives to silence all my fears.
He lives to wipe away my tears.
He lives to calm my troubled heart.
He lives all blessings to impart.
He lives, my kind, wise heav’nly Friend.
He lives and loves me to the end.
He lives, and while he lives, I’ll sing.
He lives, my Prophet, Priest, and King.
He lives and grants me daily breath.
He lives, and I shall conquer death.
He lives my mansion to prepare.
He lives to bring me safely there.

He lives! All glory to his name!
He lives, my Savior, still the same.
Oh, sweet the joy this sentence gives:
“I know that my Redeemer lives!”
