A Weekend without Mommy

This last weekend I went back out to Utah for a wedding. So Princess and her Daddy spent three days together without me! They went up to Michigan to stay with cousins and had a blast!
Princess played, and played, and played. She had SO much fun in their big yard
Yep. My baby is too cute for her own good.
They went to the Toledo zoo together. Princess loved seeing all the animals and she loved playing with her cousins and calling her Aunt Shelly "mama"
Cute girls eating ice cream with face paint all over their faces
I had the camera so they didn't get a ton of pictures, but I know they had fun. Princess loves the monkeys and the elephants. She also loved playing in the children's play area and painting her face all by herself.
Love my little drama queen.

And SO grateful for an amazing husband who took such good care of our Princess while I was away! Thank you baby!

Vacation Part 3: Utah

The third and last portion of our trip was spent in good ol' Utah! We did a lot of shopping, eating out, playing, and relaxing. It was great.
Curtis and I hiked the Y together. I had never done it before (even thought I lived in the area for like, ever.)

The gorgeous sunset we saw during our hike.
We did it! No one ever told me that it was SO steep! What a tough one!
We decided to take Chloe up to Temple Square to see the SLC Temple in person...
 Aren't we cute?

She loved it! She was completely fascinated with the Temple..
We loved talking to her about it and the sacredness of the Temple and how she will get to go inside someday!

We also took her to see the Christus. She loves pictures of Jesus, so she really enjoyed seeing the big statue!
 Our family
Chloe spent almost every waking moment with these three while we were in Utah. You guys rock. Best Aunt and Uncles ever!!!
Mom, Gavin, Gabi, Joe, Princess, and Dad
Thanks for a great, relaxing trips guys! Love you!

Vacation Part 2: Disneyland!

One of the highlights of our trip was our day at Disneyland! Our expectations were pretty low since we weren't even sure if we would be able to go the morning of our Disney day. But we honestly had a blast. Princess was in heaven.
We started out the day seeing Donald Duck! Princess was so excited...
 We went on the Carosel....
 Princess had SO much fun!

Grandma and Grandpa came with us to Disneyland. We loved having them there with us. It allowed for us all to enjoy the day with a good balance of kids rides and adults rides.

Sleeping Beauty castle was so cute!

Princesses favorite ride was Dumbo. She asked to go on it again ALL day long. She was so sweet about it so we eventually decided to do it again...
Two weeks later she STILL talks about the Dumbo ride!
 Just being cute!
Watching the parade and holding her Mickey Mouse balloon.
Us standing in front of Sleeping Beauty castle
Princess with her Grandpa on the Winnie the Pooh ride.
That adorable face pretty much says it all. We loved Disneyland.

Vacation Part 1: San Diego Reunion

We had a great reunion in San Diego......
We went to the Mormon Battalion Museum
Curtis got to see the sword of his great great grandfather who was in the Mormon Battalion....
Princess got to participate in a toddler race at a Stake Pioneer Day event...
 Look at her go!!
 We went to the beach!
It was a beautiful day, sunshine, waves and sand
Princess thought that the ocean was very interesting. It was like a big swimming pool!
Cute Cousins playing in the sand
 Aren't they adorable?
Curtis spent most of the five hours at the beach jumping the waves and boogie boarding!
 My beautiful girl
Four little girls within a year and four months of each other. They had so much fun playing and getting to know eachother better!

4th of July Weekend

We had a wonderful July 4th weekend together as a family. We Saw the movie "Cars 2" in the theater. Princess did really well and seemed to like the movie. Afterwards we went to Young's Jersey Dairy and minature golfed. Princess loved it and we were surprised at how well she grasped the idea. She even hit the ball with the golf club a few times.
                                                                        Isn't she cute?

On Monday, July 4th, we went to the Beavercreek Parade. It was pretty small, and not especially exciting but Princess loved all the free candy, the horses, and the dogs.
                                                 She devoured 2 lollipops.
After the parade we went to Rotary Park to get ready for the fireworks. There was a live band, food, and games. There was also a piece of the Twin towers there. We were able to take a look and get some pictures.

Princess did pretty good while we waited for the fireworks to start. She played with her glowstick and ran around. She also did a lot of socializing with other little friends.
                                                      Princess's reaction to the fireworks.
In awe of what she sees
Just a small taste of the fireworks we saw. It was probably one of the best shows we've seen. It was super long and had an awesome loud, crazy finish.
 Happy 4th of July!
