BYU Graduation 2010
I had a really nice graduation. The whole family was there and everyone was really supportive. I'm very grateful for my undergraduate experience and for the many opportunities that I have had the past 3 years. Now we're on to bigger things! But I will always take what I have learned from BYU wherever I go!

Pirates of Penzance
We had a really great time performing in "Pirates of Penzance". We peformed at 2 venues, the Castle Amphitheater in Provo, and the American Fork Amphitheater across the street from the Timpanogos Temple. The last three show at AF were especially interesting. We got rained out the second night completely, and we recieved a major down pour of rain on closing night right after the first song of actII. We kept going until the power blew out. The picture below is what Curtis looked like after his songs with the Pirate King and Ruth:
This picture below is before it started raining....Good thing I did it when I did!

Arizona Summer 2010
We had a really great trip to Arizona June 16-21 for Grandma Merrill's 90th Birthday party and the Merrill reunion. We sang at the party and at Sacrament meeting. We went swimming a couple of times (which Chloe does not like!). Overall had a great time! Below are some pictures highlighting the trip
Monticello, UT temple. We stayed in Monticello the first night on our drive down.

Thanksgiving Break and an update
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday with my family. Josh and Stephanie were able to fly out from Florida and it was great to have them around and for them to get to know Chloe a little better. We ate delicious food and went to an amazing Football game. The BYU vs. UTAH game was the best game of the season and the most exciting game I have ever been too. I was jumping up and down and doing my best not to yell since we had a concert the next week. During the break we also took Family Pictures. We all wore BYU colors and we took the pictures in front of the Karl G Maeser Building on campus. The pictures turned out great. Below are some of the best.

Right now we have about 6 inches of snow on the ground and the semester is starting to wrap up. I'm relieved to have this semester almost over. It's been difficult as I've been learning to balance all of my responsibilites. But I'm very grateful that I have the opportunity to finish my Bachelors Degree.

7 months old! - Photoshoot
Below are some of our favorites from Chloe's 7 month photoshoot. When we first got started Chloe was scared and the picture below is what we got.... So sad! But SOOO cute!!

This is one of my favorites. She has such beautiful eyes!
By the end we finally got her to be happy and give little half smiles. Overall it was a good photoshoot and she is just a cute cute baby!
Chloe is so active right now. She can crawl pretty quickly and she climbs and stands everywhere. Shelves, piano, chairs, doors, walls - you name it! This also means that she gets owies daily. Most of them involving her head and face. Chloe's personality is also really starting to show. She loves to talk and play and she loves her Grandma and Grandpa Grooms and her Aunts and Uncles. However, she is also very shy. If she finds herself in a place that she is unfamiliar with or around people that she doesn't know she gets really quiet and will often pull a face (like the one in the first picture) and cry. Give her awhile though and she will really warm up to her surroundings. Chloe also loves her blankies, music, playing the piano, eating controllers and cords, and playing face to face with people that she loves. She also just started balancing on her knees. We sure love our little 7 month old baby girl and are very grateful for her sweet spirit in our lives.

The King's Singers

On October 28th I had the amazing opportunity to sing with The Kings Singers. We had one 50 minute rehearsal with them that day (which was not perfect by any means..) and we performed that night. The 6 singers were so humble and friendly to all of us. It was such a cool experience. That evening before the concert I was running a little late and totally slipped/tripped and fell in the busy parking lot by the HFAC. All of my stuff, including my shoes, went flying in different directions. It was embarassing and it hurt pretty bad. Looking back, it's kind of funny, but it was a little traumatizing at the time. Anyways, despite my mishap the concert was just flawless. It was a very powerful and spiritual experience for all of us in Singers. I am so grateful that I had this opportunity. Not many people in the world get to sing with a group as magnificent as The King's Singers.
